I am a clinical psychologist with a specialty in therapeutic work with children, adolescents and their families. I have been in practice for more than thirty five years. During that time, I have happily witnessed the field of clinical psychology make sizeable gains in understanding and successfully treating children and their families. I enthusiastically research, learn and use new treatment strategies. To be effective and successful, I often use a number of different types of therapies including play therapy, family therapy, parent training and school consultation with a cognitive behavioral theoretical orientation. Whenever needed, I consult with school staff or the pediatrician but always include the parents and work with them as a coach giving suggestions from the sidelines to the primary and most important agents in the child’s life.
